The IWR offers the chance for students to make a work experience in the core areas of economy and media/ public relations. We provide different kinds of working experiences:

Working experience with special focus on “Economy”

Content:

  • Assistance with respect to studies
  • Data research
  • Statistical analyses and evaluations
  • Analyses of balance sheet data of renewable companies
  • Updating and maintenance of energy statistics

Your qualifications:

  • Interest in current topics of the energy industry (renewable energy in particular)
  • Basic statistical skills
  • Ideally, experiences with common statistical programmes (SPSS)
  • Good office skills (word, excel, powerpoint)
  • A high degree of responsibility, reliability, team spirit
  • Taking delight in working independently
  • Good English Skills

Working experience with special focus on “Media/Public Relations”

Content:

  • Research and composition of current energy news
  • Writing texts for company brochures and press releases
  • Support with the organization of IWR events
  • Assistance with the monthly report of the renewable energy industry

Your qualifications:

  • Interest in current topics of the energy industry (renewable energy in particular)
  • Taking delight in writing
  • Competent writing skills
  • First practical experiences with public relations/journalism
  • Good office skills (word, excel, powerpoint)
  • A high degree of responsibility, reliability, team spirit
  • Taking delight in working independently
  • Good English skills

Working experience I (pupils)

Period of time: up to four weeks

Content:
  • Exploring the IWR’s fields of activity
  • Assistance with the daily business
  • Assistance in context with selected projects

A confirmation will be handed out at the end.

Working experience II (students)

Period of time: 5 to 7 weeks

Content:

  • First orientation with the IWR’s fields of activity
  • Assistance with the daily business
  • Realization of an independent task in context with selected projects
  • Taking over responsibility for working on a topic followed by a presentation

A simple certificate will be handed out at the end.

Working experience III (students, bachelor’s degree required)

Period of time: 8 weeks up to three months

Content:

  • Taking over responsibility for assisting the IWR’s fields of activity
  • Assistance with the daily business
  • Realization of selected project elements
  • Taking over responsibility for working on and carrying out a project
  • Project documentation and presentation

A comprehensive certificate will be handed out at the end.
